Civilized is Authority

civilized is authority—quality need not worry
our sins of today—meaningless
then could you believe?
butcher the lamb to pretend
to write our deeds off by democracy
forging dates to appoint—you fiend
steal away to hotel rooms—but promise:
gold band gone—asking for forgiveness
but we couldn’t forgo such pleasure
absolution could hold no mercy, for
sinners we are, could never stop
hold true to our lies—found in your arms
crippled adolescence—fond of this puncture

Little Girl

Brittle bones
aching heart
jilted once
jilted twice
little girl
jilted thrice
rotting mouths
bleeding eyes
deceptive lies
honesty cries
little girl
all alone
little girl
little corpse
little grave
little girl
all gone

Juliet’s Disclosure

I only wanted what you couldn't give to me
This sense of foreboding,
It calls to me
With its scent of victory,
Just waiting to be held
Just in reach, but a little too compromising
Do I really want to go this way?
Webbed veins, razored heart,
Your lips are poison,
but Romeo, you left me too soon
I'll kiss and die,
Just to lie by your side
As my body lied to you,
I was never alive
